Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!

This weekend Erica started a character in World of Warcraft.  She is liking it so far.   It’ll be fun to play it with her.  I started a new character along with her to we can kick some butt together.

DEER

May 22nd, 2008

I hit a deer with my Impala this morning (1:30am).  The car had an estimated $2,900.00 damage done to it… You shoulda seen the other guy.  ;)

New Porch

May 17th, 2008

Today we finished off the addition of a new porch to the house.  The concrete steps had heaved not allowing the front door to open.  We got rid of the old steps and put in a wooden porch.   It makes a nice addition to the house.  Without highspeed internet at the house I have been busy with mowing and reclaiming the yard from overgrowth.  I have a lot done, but a lot more to do yet.  Keeps me outta trouble.  ;)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Erica!  Love Yah!

New Floor

April 13th, 2008

The same weekend I moved in with Erica, it was decided to rip out the carpeting and replace it with laminent.  We installed it ourselves (Lee, Ruth, Erica, and I) and it looks darn good if I say so myself.  :)

Moving On

April 11th, 2008

I moved in with Erica today to start a new adventure in our lives.  I have found out that I don’t like moving so I hope I don’t have to do it much.  :)

IKEA

March 1st, 2008

Fun day up in the cities today with Erica and her parents.  Early to rise so we could get some breakfast at IHOP.  I hope one of those comes to Rochester.  Then we spent approx. 4 hours walking around IKEA.  That is an experience!  Lots of neat stuff at that store.  Nicely setup so a person can actually see how, say a lamp, would look with other similar styles.  We were going to try to eat lunch at The Nook in St. Paul.  The place was packed though so we decided to go to a Chilli’s.  Good food there too.  I hope one comes to Rochester soon!  When I got back to Rochester, I hung out with my dad as my mom was at a scrapbooking retreat at Ironwood Springs.  It was a good day.

Free Agents

February 29th, 2008

Free agency started today for the NFL.  I don’t like it a whole lot, but it does allow for some neat roster moves for the NFL teams.  So far my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings, has made a couple of moves.  They picked up a safety named Madieu Williams and a full back named Thomas Tapeh.  Sounds like they are trying hard to get wide receiver Bernard Berrian.

Updates

February 27th, 2008

A couple updates… My dad got some sort of infection in his leg again.  He’s been taking some antibiotics and it is clearing up. Yay!  Estes hurt her foot really bad last Thursday.  She’s hardly been putting any pressure on it at all.  Poor pup.  I think it’s getting better, but it’s hard to watch her walk around.  We’ve kept the drapes shut for the last week so she doesn’t go nuts when looking out the window at passersby.  Found out last week that getting a wired high-speed internet out to the farm isn’t possible yet.  So thinking of other options.  Maybe a combo of dial-up and satellite would work ok.  Could be a bit pricey.  I hope the ‘grid’ will find us soon out there.  Saturday Erica and I had nachos and played a game called Imagineiff.  It’s a fun game.  I would recommend it.  Sunday Erica and I took her parents out for their anniversary.  Timberlodge was the spot and it was very good.  We were supposed to get a big snow storm on Monday but it all staying in Iowa.  Thanks goodness!  I’m ready for SPRING!!

Estes Expressway

February 17th, 2008

I just got done digging out paths in the backyard for Estes to run around on.  With all the snow we’ve been getting the last few years, I’ve tried to go out there at least once to clear some long runs for her.  The snow gets so deep, it gets hard for her to find a ’spot’.  The deep snow also slows her down alot.  Now she can zip around the backyard again!
