Book

Friday, September 9th, 2005

Well, I never thought I’d be typing aboot another book so soon afrer finishing one the other day… But I sit in my bed here in our Colorado house we are renting while on vacation, typing away on my SideKick (BTW, I luv this phone!!!) without a book to read because I just finished PREY by Michael Crichton. He is one of my favorite authors. I’ve also read a lot of Dean Koontz books… Not sure what I’ll read next… But if I remember right, I should be starting the Harry Potter books next… I have lost track of the long que of books my friends have told me to read.

I’ve had a great time here in Colorado and I’ll be sad to pack up for the return trip home… However… I do miss home, Estes (my dog, even though she can be a pain sometimes), friends, work, computer access, my car and it’s low frequency, BWW, and did I mention computer access??

Colorado

Wednesday, September 7th, 2005

Here I am in beautimous Colorado… will have to be a short update as my time is limited. Things are going great on the trip. The house my parents and I are renting is awesome… I’ll have pictures to share when I get back to Minnesota.

While here, I finished the book I started reading when I was in Colorado last year. Shadow Prey by John Sandford. Pretty good book. I guess he has a lot of ‘prey’ books out there…. I may get another at some point. Now I’ve started Prey by Michael Crichton.

Take care friends.

August

Thursday, September 1st, 2005

Well I can’t believe August is already done for. What has been going on…

I’m STILL trying to fix my brother’s computer. I’m not sure what the college life has done to the poor thing… I hope it can be restored to it’s potential.

I am the mayor of the city our guild started in Star Wars Galaxies… that’s been keeping me very busy lately.

Battlefield 2 has been keeping my attention as of late. A few of my friends are getting into it… so it’s been a lot of fun.

The last few days I’ve been watching a lot of coverage of baaad hurricane that hit the south USA. I feel bad for all those people… but part of me says “why live below sea level?” It’s a bad situation for this country right now. My heart goes out to the people having to deal with that mess.

Right now I’m finishing up my packing for a trip to Estes Park, CO. I luv that place. We leave bright and early in the morning so it’s almost bed time. We will be dropping our dog (Estes) off at the animal hospital (that’s where she stays when we are gone for an extended time) in the morning before we leave for Colorado. As we were getting things ready today, I think she know’s somethings going down because she was extra affectionate to everyone today. I have plenty of treats for the kennel workers to give her while she’s there… a little taste from home.
